A baby camel named after Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper enjoyed watching his namesake cracking a typical cheeky joke at the National Television Awards.

Keepers at Cotswold Wildlife Park named the Bactrian camel which was born this year in honour of local celebrity Mr Cooper who is a regular visitor to the park with his family.

Mammal keeper Willemijn said: "I also thought it was a great name as they both have the same hairdo, especially when Kaleb was experimenting with different styles in season one of Clarkson's Farm."

Sharing a picture of Kaleb the camel, the keepers said: "Great to see Kaleb Cooper on the #NTAs this week."

The 26-year-old farmer had the audience in hysterics when he began presenting the gong when he was heard saying “National Tractor Awards” instead of National Television Awards.

Fans took to social media, to praise the 'snub'.

One gushed:  “Well done Kaleb for your shout out to #BackBritishFarming tonight at the #NTAs #BackBritishFarmingDay."

Another said: “Go on Kaleb. Support British farming, buy British Produce. #NTAs” and “Aw Kaleb I love you.”

Clarkson's Farm was nominated for Best Factual Entertainment show but missed out to Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out.
