A motorists was sent to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Oxford's southern bypass on Friday morning.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue crews responded with two fire engines from Rewley Road Fire Station to the incident on the southern bypass near the Hinksey Hill interchange.
The crash happened between 7 and 8am yesterday morning (Friday, September 13).
On arrival crews were found a three car collision had occurred in the outside lane of the carriageway. All occupants of the vehicles were out prior to the arrival of firefighters.
An occupant of one of the vehicles suffered injuries, and was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews also made the scene safe by closing one lane, dealing with fluid spilt from the vehicles and ensured that no escalation of the incident could occur.
Thames Valley Police also responded to the incident on the A423 southern bypass towards Kennington.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue issued the following advice to drivers: "During the early morning and late afternoons, please be even more careful when driving as the sun is getting very low making visibility extremely difficult.
"In the coming months especially, ensure that your windscreen is clean so that you are able to see clearly when conditions deteriorate."
