Oxford has been named among the UK's best destinations for an active holiday by a new study.
The city was ranked sixth in the list compiled by GO Outdoors, which looked at the number of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, as well as hotel ratings and weather conditions.
The study comes following a 190 per cent rise in searches for "hobby trips" in the past year.
Sheffield topped the list, offering options for mountain biking, bird-watching, running, and horse riding, with trails like the Rivelin and Redmires Reservoirs Circular.
Cambridge and Milton Keynes followed in second and third place, respectively.
The study also highlighted Belfast as the best place for a fishing holiday, York for running trails, and Peterborough for bird-watching.
