A prison officer has died after being involved in a crash whilst on holiday in Italy.
David Conahan, of Mistletoe Green, Oxford, was on holiday in Via Della Liberta, Mestre, Venice, when he was involved in a car crash on August 7.
The circumstances surrounding the crash which the 59-year-old was involved in are currently unknown.

An inquest opening at Oxford Coroners Court on Thursday (September 12) heard that a post-mortem examination was carried out and his cause of death has been provided as ‘spinal trauma’.
He was identified to attending police officers in Italy by his friend, Brian Stewart.
Coroner Nicholas Graham has set a date for a full inquest to take place in to the prison officer’s death on March 10 next year at 10am.
