LUCIAN SMEGNER, 31, of Thyme Close, Banbury, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Banbury on February 12 this year with 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 19 months, reduced by 19 weeks for a course, and fined £562. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £225.

IAN GREENWOOD, 36, of Court Farm Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop between March 4 and April 14 in Oxford. He was jailed for 21 days and ordered to pay £496.50. There were no other orders for costs.

STEFAN BASHEV, 26, of Farnborough Road, Mollington, pleaded guilty to driving without a licence in Banbury on December 20 last year. He was disqualified from driving for six months and had six penalty points added to his driving record. He was also fined £220. There were court costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £88.

SAJJAD TASIB, 39, of Wilkins Road, Oxford, was found guilty of possession of a Stanley knife in Cowley Road, Oxford on May 5 this year. He pleaded guilty to drink driving on May 5 with 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, failing to stop for a traffic warden when required to do so, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe immediate violence would be used against them. He was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to abstain from alcohol for 60 days. He will also need to complete up to 16 days of rehabilitation activity. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knife. There were court costs of £400 and a victim surcharge of £154.

TOMAS MCLAUGHLIN, 32, of Edward Stone Rise, Chipping Norton, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug, namely six buds of cannabis, on May 25 this year in Banbury and one count of possession of a Class A drug, namely four tablets of MDMA, on the same day. He was fined £120 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were court costs of £85.
