Oxford has been hit with downpours and even hail today (September 12) but better weather could be around the corner soon with late September sunshine expected.
The temperature in Oxford has dropped between five to 14C with frequent showers of both rain and hail this week.
The Met Office warned that a cold front sweeping south would introduce "arctic air to the UK" with below average temperatures across the nation.

It comes as parts of the UK, particularly Scotland, are expected to have its first snowfall from as early as next week, according to the Met Office.
But for people living in Oxfordshire, it is looking sunnier and temperatures are picking up next week.
There will be highs 22C next Friday, the weather company has stated with temperatures also expected to reach 21C on Tuesday and Wednesday in Oxford.
