Police closed a road in an Oxford suburb this afternoon as a man was arrested after alleged threats to kill and possession of a weapon.
The man was taken into custody after the incident in Wood Farm Road, Headington, at around 1pm.
The scene at around 2pm was quiet after the 45-year-old Oxford man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, threats to kill and arson.

Thames Valley Police confirmed he remains in custody.
The road was closed by officers, but quickly reopened.
Local businesses told the Oxford Mail they were unaware of the road closure and the police activity.
A police car could be spotted on the street while one officer could be seen inside one of the houses on the road before the force left the scene.
