A grandmother has shared her shock after she and her baby grandson ran into a snake during the school run.
Lisa Cochrane of Watlington was walking with the 10-month-old infant to pick up her other two grandchildren from school.
At around 2.30pm she was near the new Red Kite housing estate when she and her grandchild came across a huge snake.
“I was walking my grandson in his pushchair to collect his two older brothers from school,” she said.

“It came out from the bush grass so I did wonder at the time if it was a grass snake.
“I was shocked and froze still as I don’t like snakes then made a run for it.
The 53-year-old got away from the scene and was thankful that she had just the one grandchild with her at the time of the sighting.
“I was also relieved that I didn’t have the older two with me as with boys being boys they would have probably wanted to touch it," she continued.
“I’ve never seen a snake in Oxfordshire and I’ve lived here all my life.”
