Jeremy Clarkson has had the last laugh in a saga with footballer James Maddison which has spanned years.
The former Top Gear host initially started the beef with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder while he was playing for Leicester City.
In 2019 he wrote: “James Maddison. Too long at the barber’s. Not enough time practising football.”
At the time, Maddison responded: “Stick to cars mate.
“Can count on one hand how many trims you’ve got left. #Thin.”

Now five years later and Clarkson, who owns a drama in Oxfordshire, has had the last laugh after recent pictures emerged of Maddison showing his own hair starting to thin.
Posting the photograph on social media in response to the original Twitter threat, one X user commented: “This aged stupendously.”
It is a busy week for Clarkson as the final-ever episode of The Grand Tour airs later this week on Friday marking the end of 22 years of collaboration with James May and Richard Hammond.
The 64-year-old said he felt “surprisingly unemotional” when he filmed the final episode.
“I’m not saying this in a derogatory way by any means but James has the emotions of a stone,” he revealed.

“He just doesn’t do emotions, so there were no tears from him. Hammond, yes.
“I was surprisingly unemotional in a weird way because I can see James and Hammond any time I want to, they’re only a phone call away, and I’m sure we will.
“And I’ve done enough of the travel, I was worn out by it.”
