A two-year prison sentence has been handed to a sous chef who asked a ’12-year-old girl’ if he could take her virginity.
Kyle Morris, 27, sent sexually explicit messages to whom he thought were young girls on Facebook, asking if he could have sex with them and see naked photographs.
However, the profiles turned out to be decoys.

Morris was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court for three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to cause a child under 13 to look at an image of sexual activity.
He was handed a 28-month prison sentence by Judge Hassan Khan on Monday (September 9).
During the sentencing, it was heard that the defendant was first caught between October 16 and October 30, 2022 attempting to message whom he thought was a 12-year-old called ‘Lily’ in Oxfordshire.
The decoy told Morris she was 12 years of age but Morris replied: “I don’t care babe, I want to f*** you.”

He also sent messages such as: “You are fit babe” and “Talk dirty to me, I want you to s*** my c***”, as well as talking about her virginity.
Morris also sent the profile a two-second video of him masturbating and tried to encourage the girl to meet him in a hotel to have sex.
The sous chef was then arrested and released on court bail when in February this year, he messaged a profile called ‘Ruby’ following by a profile called ‘Millie’ in March.
Morris sent similar messages to the profiles, believing they were 14-year-old girls, including sending a second video of him masturbating to the profile called ‘Ruby’.
Defending Morris, barrister Simon Hustler said his client hasn’t had ‘the easiest of upbringings’ and claims he was ‘under the influence of substance abuse’ at the time of the offences.
“He’s a hardworking man and he’s made some progress in life,” he said. “He describes his behaviour as impulsive.
“He was under the influence of substance abuse at the time but he appreciates that that is no excuse. He acknowledges that he needs help.”
When addressing why Morris had offended again whilst on court bail, Mr Hustler said Morris ‘couldn’t explain it’.
Morris appeared over video link from HMP Bullingdon, wearing a red t-shirt with a long silver chain with a cross on it.

He did not speak throughout the sentencing.

He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be on the Sex Offenders register.
