People can enjoy a self-guided, walking tour of Witney's town centre and Blanket Hall later this week.

The tour of Blanket Hall will offer a look into the town's woollen industry history.

The tours are available at 11am, midday, 2pm and 3pm on Friday, September 13, and Saturday, September 14.

It will begin from 110 High Street, Witney, and there is no need to book.

Witney Blanket Hall was built in 1721, and for 150 years has been the home of the Company of Witney Blanket Weavers and the principal public hall in the town.

Organisers said: "Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the woollen industry and marvel at the beauty of the Blanket Hall.

"Indulge in the delectable delights at the cafe and savour the renowned pies."
