AN inquest has opened into the death of a director in civil engineering who was being treated for cancer.
Michael Verity, 68, of Sunnybank, Marlow, died at the John Radcliffe Hospital on August 24 this year.
An inquest opening at Oxford Coroners Court on Tuesday (September 3) heard that he had been admitted to the Headington hospital where he was being treated for mesothelioma.

However, he was pronounced dead at 5.15pm. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently unknown.
A medical cause of deathfor the director of civil engineering has been provided as cardiomyopathy, immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment, and mesothelioma.
Coroner Darren Salter has set a date for a full inquest on January 20 at 10am.
