An Audi A4 was left flipped onto its side after a crash on a major Oxfordshire road.

The incident happened on Thursday evening as two fire engines including one from Rewley Road Fire Station and one from Kidlington Fire Station were called to a collision on the A34.

On arrival, the crews were faced with one private motor vehicle, a black Audi A4, on its side with the incident being caused by a tyre blowout.

A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Luckily the driver sustained no injuries.

“As the days are drawing in and the weather will start to deteriorate, please make sure that your car is safe to drive before you set out on journeys.

“Check your tyres and fluids, and make sure you have some supplies in the car in case you break down.”
