A PROJECT transforming old telecommunications cabinets into uniquely styled works of art to reduce graffiti and fly-posting has begun in Oxford.
The OxBox Project is an initiative aiming to "beautify" streets in east Oxford by transforming 18 neglected BT and Virgin cabinets, replacing graffiti and flyposting with murals and creative illustrations.
Featuring talented local artists, the project "aims to foster a sense of pride in the community".

Labour city councillor for Hinksey Park, Anna Railton spotted a cabinet being decorated on Iffley Road this week.
Ms Railton said: "Well this is lovely to see."
A fundraiser has been set up to raise money for the project, which is comprised of 10 talented local artists who have all been involved in Oxford and around the UK.
The artists have joined together to create the art trail, celebrating the community and instilling a sense of pride in the neighbourhood.
