A property in east Oxford was broken into using a knife last week, police have said.
The burglary occurred just before 9am last Monday (August 26).
Thames Valley Police said an offender made his way into a property in Cave Street, St Clement's, using a "knife or sharp pointed object to make entry".
Police have described the offender as a black man, aged between 40 and 50-years-old with black or blue clothing and a hat.

He left the house with a black kit bag.
It is believed he picked up the knife from nearby rubbish bin to force entry.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation.
A spokesman for the force said: "Anybody who witnessed this incident, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage, is urged to call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting the reference 43240409639."
