MULTIPLE women have been punched in a series of assaults which left one woman hospitalised. 

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the two assaults in Oxford

Police say on Thursday, August 29 at 10.15pm on Old Road, Headington, a woman in her 50s was approached by a man who punched her in the head causing her to almost fall into the road.

The victim sustained injuries to the head, and further hospital treatment was required, but she has since been discharged.

On Wednesday, August 28, between 11.45pm and 12.05am on Crescent Road a woman in her 20s was approached by a man who proceeded to punched her in the face.

The victim sustained bruising to the face, but no hospital treatment was required.

Thames Valley Police has described the offender as a white male between the age of 18 and 30.

He was riding a light coloured/silver mountain bike in both incidents. 

In the Headington incident, the male was described as wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a light coloured face covering and trousers.

In the assault on Crescent Road, he was described as wearing a red hoodie with the hood up, a dark scarf covering his face and back pack.

Staff investigator Lorna Starr, who is based at Oxford police station, said: “We believe that these incidents are linked and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed these incidents to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would also ask anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to please contact us if it has captured the incident.
