A KFC customer has shared his disgust at a meal purchased from an Oxfordshire eatery.
A picture of the food sent to the Oxford Mail shows what appears to be lettuce that has gone off in a burger bun.
The food was purchased from KFC in Orchard Way in Didcot, which was rated five stars by the Food Standards Agency following the last inspection.
The inspection in January rated the establishment's management of food safety, which includes systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, as 'very good'.
The disgruntled customer, who did not want to be named, described the food as "totally disgusting".

The customer told the Oxford Mail: "[I am] totally disgusted to be honest, made me feel quite sick and ended up throwing the whole thing in the bin.
"Food prices have increased massively in the last few years yet we seem to have lower standards."
He added that the fries were "still crunchy and well undercooked".
A spokesperson for KFC said: “Making sure our customers have a great experience every time is really important to us.
"We’re sorry to hear they were disappointed with their meal and are getting in touch directly to make things right.”
The global fried chicken chain opened its new takeaway restaurant in Didcot in December.
