The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

ALEX HAMER, 27, of Newland Place, Banbury, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Ruscotte Avenue, Banbury on March 9 this year with 236 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. They were disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by three months, and fined £80. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.

MARLENE MACAULEY, 68, of Marsh Baldon, Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for testing in Walling on July 27 this year after being suspected of having committed a road traffic offence. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by three months, and fined £246. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £98.

BARRY O’CONNELL, 49, of Shilton Road, Barwell, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Buckinghamshire on July 28 this year with 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He also pleaded guilty to driving without third party insurance and driving without a licence. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks, and fined £461. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.

STUART GORDON, 51, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop, one count of assault by beating in Banbury on August 3 last year, and one count of failing to surrender to court/police bail on April 10 this year. He was given a community order to complete 12 months of drug rehabilitation treatment with Turning Point and 30 days of a specified programme. He was also ordered to complete up to five rehabilitation activity days and pay £721.34 in compensation. There are no orders for costs.

KELVIN GREEN, 48, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notification requirements off the Sex Offenders Register on May 9 this year by failing to update police officers about the change of his address within three days. He was jailed for eight weeks. There were no orders for costs.

RICHARD RICKMAN, 48, of Hazel Close, Englefield Green, Surrey, pleaded guilty to using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress on March 4 this year towards a police constable, one count of theft from a shop in Staines upon Thames on March 11 after stealing £1,606.50 of items from Sainsburys, and a second count of theft on July 18 last year after stealing eight bottles of alcohol spirits to the value of £500 from Tesco. He was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to complete 12 months of drug rehabilitation treatment and up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity. He was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no orders for costs.
