Oxford has been named alongside the likes of Montreal, Rio de Janeiro and Zurich as one of the most desirable cities in the world to live in.
A study conducted by Remitly revealed Oxford placed alongside 16 other cities around the world as the joint 10th most desirable place to relocate to.
The research analysed Google search volumes for the phrase ‘move to city’ for 98 countries around the world.
Capital cities and the most searched for city for each country were omitted, in order to reveal popular alternative relocation choices for those looking to move abroad.
Vancouver, Canada, came out on top as the most favoured alternative relocation destination, with 17 countries including the UK, US, Australia and Japan selecting it as their first choice.
