A FINE has been handed to a man who pleaded guilty to kicking a police officer and ruining another officer’s shoes.

Rahil Hussen, of London Road, Headington, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (September 3) charged with two counts.

The 28-year-old was charged with assault by beating of a police officer in Abingdon on May 20 last year and one count of criminal damage after ruining a second officer’s shoes in Oxford on the same

He appeared for his first hearing and pleaded guilty to both counts. It was decided he could be sentenced on the same day.

Hussen was fined £583 for the assault by beating charge and faced no separate charge for the criminal damage charge.
