The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

STUART GORDON, 51, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug, namely heroin, on December 26 last year as well as one count of possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on the same day. Gordon also pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen goods between September 10 and 14 last year, namely wireless ear buds. He was given a community order to complete 12 months of drug rehabilitation treatment and up to 30 days of a specified programme. He also needs to complete five days of rehabilitation activity. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were no orders for costs.

COLIN BUNCE, 48, of Cherry Croft, Wantage, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Wantage on January 29 this year. He was fined £300. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £120.

EVAN GITERE, 44, of Hebden Close, Swindon, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour in Headley Way, Headington on February 5 this year as well as one count of failing to provide a specimen for testing at Abingdon Police Station on the same day after being suspected of committing a road traffic offence. He was given a community order to complete six months of alcohol treatment with Turning Point and five days of rehabilitation activity. He was also ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for nine months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.

OLIVER BROWN, 21, of The Rydes, Bodicote, pleaded guilty to driving without third party insurance on February 22 this year in Oxford on a black E-Scooter as well as one count of possession of a Class B drug, namely two small bags of cannabis, on the same day. He was given a period of conditional discharge for 12 months and was fined £60. Six penalty points were added to his driving record. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.

RICHARD RICKMAN, 48, of Englefield Green, Staines, pleaded guilty to drug driving on December 11 last year on Merewood Avenue, Oxford, as well as driving without third-party insurance and driving whilst disqualified. He was jailed for four months, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to complete 12 months of drug rehabilitation activity and up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity. He was disqualified from driving for three years. There were no orders for costs.
