He returned to the city this week as he was signing copies of his new single 'Lagos Paris London EP' in Truck Oxford.
The Foals front-man was in the store from 6pm on Friday.
He had earlier written to his fans on an online forum confirming he was in Oxford as he asked people to send in their questions.
"I'm currently in Oxford, let's do this," he wrote.
"Send in your questions. I'll be answering from 5pm."
The 38-year-old's new EP project was born after collaborating with drummer Tony Allen in 2016.

He released his new EP on Friday under the guise of Yannis & The Yaw.
A statement from Truck Oxford said: "Sadly Tony passed away in 2020 and Yannis felt a deep sense of duty to complete the project, so here is a whole new side to Yannis' musical character, the first of hopefully many releases."
It is understood this is a project following a two-day session in Paris with Mr Allen rather than the start of his solo career.
‘Lagos Paris London’ is five tracks in length.
