The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

WARREN BROOKER, 51, of Pointer Place, Marcham, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon, namely an extendable baton, in a private place in Abingdon on August 9 this year. He was fined £100 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the baton. There was a victim surcharge of £40.

MELANIE JEWELL, 41, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on June 11 in Banbury on the M30 northbound. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and fined £120. There were court costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £48.

MARK WEAVER, 54, of George Street, Banbury, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating in Banbury on December 2 last year as well as one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words/behaviour on the same day towards three different victims. He was given a community order to complete six months of mental health treatment and ordered to pay £200 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

DEAN WOODLEY, 41, of Sandford Road, Littlemore, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Abingdon on February 1 this year as well as one count of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment. He was ordered to pay £150 in compensation. There were no orders for costs.

MYRON STAPLETON, 34 of Jackman Close, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Oxford Road Cowley on March 5 this year. They were disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £200. There were no other orders for costs.

RIDA HEZIL, 24, of Jamaica Road, London, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop in Bicester on August 11 this year. They stole a £125 from Tommy Hilfiger, items worth £1,325 from Coach, and a green t-shirt worth £300 from Burberry. They were fined £180. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £72.

CHARMAINE POYNER, 43, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop in Bicester on January 23 this year and June 21 this year. She stole £194 of items from Tesco, an £89 hoover from B&M, and £10.10 of food products from One Stop. She was given a period of conditional discharge for 12 months. There were no orders for costs.
