After receiving their GCSE results, Chinnor students enjoyed a free meal at a Bangladeshi restaurant in the village.
Dozens of teenagers visited Bipul’s Kitchen on results day (August 22) for a celebratory meal.
The restaurant offered Year 11s a free main meal with rice, which they could eat at the restaurant or take away.
One parent, Beverly O’Connor, said on social media: "My son was there at 12 o’clock to collect his free curry and rice, such an amazing generous gesture from Bipuls - thank you so much."
Another parent, Leonie Ska, added: "Thank you so much, my son and his friends had a lovely meal. It was a wonderful thing for you to do for them."
Mahdi Rahman, the restaurant's general manager, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome our local young adults celebrating with their friends and family, and it was particularly heart warming to see how kind, courteous and grateful they all were."
The 26-year-old said the restaurant team came up with the initiative as they "really wanted" to make results day "memorable" for the students.
He said: “We all had our GCSE results day once upon a time, it’s arguably the first day of one’s new chapter and our team really wanted to make it a memorable day for the new generation. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day."
