The outdoor pool and splash pad in Abbey Meadow will stay open for an extra week.
The company GLL, which manages the outdoor pool and splash pad on behalf of the Vale of White Horse District Council, has agreed to extend the season this year.
The facilities in Abingdon would usually close on September 1 but will now remain open until September 8.
The decision was made based on the forecast of good weather and the timing of schools returning.
The extension will allow more people to enjoy the facilities.
The kiosk at Abbey Meadow will also stay open until September 8.
The splash pad at Manor Road Memorial Park in Wantage will also remain open until September 8.
Visitors planning to go to Abbey Meadow on September 7 are advised to plan ahead.
An event in the park will mean the closure of the road and the car park at Abbey Close.
Alternative parking is available at the Civic car park in front of Abbey House, Cattlemarket, Audlett Drive, and Rye Farm car parks.
Councillor Sue Caul, Vale of White Horse cabinet member for leisure facilities, stated that she was delighted that the council can extend the "summer fun" for longer this year.
She said: "It’s always great to see how much enjoyment children and families get from the pool at Abbey Meadow and given the good weather it is fantastic they have an extra week to enjoy the pool, splash pad and kiosk."
