A TEENAGE boy has avoided jail after pleading guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
The Oxfordshire teen, 17, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on August 21 charged with one count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 15.
He pleaded guilty in March this year to the offence which took place in Harwell on June 24, 2022 when he was aged 15 himself.

Both defendant and complainant cannot be named in this case for legal reasons.
At the lower court this month, he was handed a six-month referral to a Youth Offending Team.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £26. There were no orders for compensation or court costs.
