New footage shows the damage dealt to a car that was engulfed in flames on the M40.
The incident occurred at around 6.45pm on Friday evening as the traffic flow on the M40 Northbound between the Cherwell Valley Services and Banbury came to a stop.
A car could be seen on fire with large flames coming from within as the emergency services raced to the scene.
One motorist told the Oxford Mail that "multiple fire engines and police cars with blue lights" had rushed down the hard shoulder to the incident.

They added that the traffic was at a "standstill" and that people were “getting out of their cars to have a look".
New photographs released by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service show the extent of damage dealt to the car which has been left blackened out by the blaze.
On Saturday afternoon, a spokesperson for the service said: “Yesterday a call came in at 6.14pm for a vehicle on fire on the M40 Northbound between J10 Ardley and J11 Banbury.

“Bicester Fire Station, Banbury Fire Station and Kidlington Fire Station attended and crews were faced with a well alight vehicle on arrival.
“Two Firefighters in breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire using high-pressure hose reels.
“Thanks to the swift actions of the driver and a member of the public, the occupants of the vehicle were able to get to safety as crews arrived.
“The carriageway has since been reopened.”
