At Northampton Magistrates’ Court on August 15, the pair pleaded guilty to the offence.
They were handed a £200 fine each and there were also court costs of £85 though no victim surcharge was ordered.
The courts did not order compensation as there was ‘no loss or damage’ to the items taken.
