The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

GARY WICKENS, 42, of Leach Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft. On December 18, he stole £49.60 worth of chocolate from the Co-Op in Bicester, and on January 5 he stole fabric conditioner and hair conditioner to the value of £5 from One Start in Bicester. On May 7, he stole goods from B&M, on April 10 he stole two bottles of whiskey to the value of £42.50 from Sainsburys, and on March 31 he stole goods from the Co-Op. He also pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug, cannabis, on January 7 this year. He was given a community order to complete nine months of rehabilitation treatment and up to 25 rehabilitation activity days. He was also excluded from B&M in Sheep Street, Sainsburys in Pioneer Square and One Stop in Bicester for 12 months. There was an order for compensation for £49.60 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were no orders for costs.
TAYLOR KENDALL, 19 of Barleyfield Way, Witney, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug, 0.229 grams of cocaine on February 11 last year and possession of a Class B drug, cannabis. They were fined £120 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.
MATTHEW TREADWELL, 37, of Dodgson Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to sending a public electronic communications network messages to a woman between November 11 to November 14, 2023 that were grossly offensive or of indecent, obscene or menacing character. He was given a community order to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and 80 hours of unpaid work. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
SEAN THOMSON, 37, of Old Burford Road, Bledington, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Bloxham on July 5 this year with 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months, reduced by 16 weeks for a course, and fined £250. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £100.
CHRISTOPHER ALFORD, 39, of Lely Court, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to entering premises on July 8 this year which were subject to a closure order made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 29 this year. He was given a period of conditional discharge for nine months. There were court costs of £54.
