A MANAGER of a carpet store has admitted to committing fraud and stealing over £26,000 from the company.
Anhar Ali, of Titup Hall Drive, Oxford, was a deputy manager and then manager at Carpet Right in Oxford between November 19, 2020 and May 13, 2022.
During this time, the 29-year-old admitted to committing fraud by making £26,056.18 by ‘not safeguarding the financial interests’ of the company.

It is unknown how Ali was able to fraudulently steal the money.
However, Ali pleaded guilty at the lower court to one count each of fraud by abuse of position and theft by employee at Oxford Magistrates Court on Tuesday (August 20).
His case has now been adjourned and sent for sentencing at Oxford Crown Court on September 19.
