A riverside café in Burford is being given the 'Michelin treatment' after being taken over by award-winning chef, Hubert Kosmala.
The former London chef has worked with some of those considered the best in the business.
He worked with chef and restaurateur, Phil Howard, before heading to Oxfordshire’s – The Sir Charles Napier, and had until recently been heading up the kitchen of the AA Rosette awarded - The Swan at Swinbrook.
Hubert has now set up Thyme and Lovage in Warwick Hall, the only cafe in Burford, with a riverside view, opposite the Cotswold town's famous church.

The name is a tribute to his wife’s established patisserie, Hugo Lovage, which has been open on Burford’s High Street since 2021.
Open from 8:30am to 4pm every day, except Sunday, Thyme and Lovage promises to be a welcome addition to the town.
What's on the menu? Well, dishes like Cornish crab on toasted English muffin, pickled cucumber samphire radish and lovage oil, courgette fritter with avocado, broad beans, buffalo mozzarella, pesto and open sandwiches of smoked salmon, pickled cucumber, fennel lovage mayonnaise and fries.
Hubert is also offering his own catering service and private chef hire. He will be doing a demonstration at the Burford Food Festival on Monday at 14:30pm.

“We wanted to do something a little different and utilize the best and seasonal ingredients around,” Hubert said.
“From our breakfasts and to our main courses we want you to be able to taste every detail.
“Warwick Hall is a beautiful building and the garden is idyllic.
"We are very happy to open our first café here and we hope that it will be enjoyed by the town’s visitors but also the residents.”
