A Chinese takeaway in Oxfordshire has been told its management of food safety needs major improvement.
Golden Chopsticks on Lower Road in Chinnor serves customers a variety of Chinese dishes.
The takeaway was visited by South Oxfordshire District Council’s Environmental Health team on Wednesday, July 3.
Inspectors found that “major improvement” was required and handed the establishment a lowly one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

One major issue at the takeaway was the team’s management of food safety which was also adjudged to be requiring “major improvement”.
This refers to having a system or checks in place to ensure that the food sold or served is safe to eat and if there is evidence that staff know about food safety.
It also details whether the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future.
Golden Chopsticks’ hygienic food handling of food which includes preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage of food sold was rated as needing “necessary improvement”.
The cleanliness and condition of the facilities and the building were also deemed to require “necessary improvement” by inspectors.
