Police have provided an update on a stabbing which hospitalised an Oxfordshire teenager.

The incident occurred at People’s Park in Banbury at around 11.55pm on Sunday, August 4, as an 18-year-old man was hospitalised.

Officers charged 18-year-old Alex Luszczkiewicz of Calthorpe Road, Banbury with one count each of attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place.

Thames Valley Police has now provided an update on the 18-year-old victim who was hospitalised in the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The victim has been discharged from hospital.”

The force had previously revealed that it had arrested a man and a boy in connection with the incident.

An 18-year-old man from Banbury was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday, August 6.

A 14-year-old boy from Banbury was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder a day earlier on Monday, August 5.

This 14-year-old suspect has been released on police bail until Thursday, October 24.
