These workers not only kept our telephones in good order, but enjoyed a good social life too.
The Oxford Telephone Social Club organised a host of sporting and leisure activities for staff in their spare time.

There are a number of different bars and venues across Oxford where people can play snooker.
The Oxford Union is the only place in central Oxford with full-sized snooker tables for hire.
Snooker tables are available for use all day during term time at £2.50 per hour.
