A man has been arrested after a teenage gang hospitalised a dogwalker who was punched in the face.
The incident occurred when a group of up to 10-15 males aged in their late teens to early 20s, approached a man in his late 40s, who was out walking his dog in Abbey Gardens in Abingdon at around 7.15pm on Saturday, August 17.
One of the group, a black male, then hit the victim with a tree branch, while a second white male punched him in the face.
The first offender is described as black, aged in his mid to late teens with an average to skinny build and was dressed all in black.

The second offender is white, again aged in his mid to late teens and was dressed in white clothing.
The victim sustained a head injury, cuts and bruises and a black eye and was treated in hospital. He has since been discharged.
An 18-year-old man from Wantage has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and has been bailed until November 10.
Investigating officer PC Gordon Macdonald said: “I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
