GUILTY verdicts have been handed to a Bicester man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl after offering her cocaine.
Stuart Crawford, of Market Way End, was on trial at Oxford Crown Court charged with three counts – three counts of sexual activity with a child and offering to supply a Class A drug, namely cocaine.
The 42-year-old was found guilty of assaulting a 14-year-old girl on October 22, 2022, outside The Ashton Club in Sheep Street.

Crawford was also found guilty of giving her cocaine.
His defence was that he had believed the girl was 18 years of age and that he did touch her but not in a sexual manner. He told the jury he ‘felt physically sick’ when he found out her real age.
However, a jury rejected his account and found him guilty of all three counts.
During the trial, it was heard, that the teen girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sitting on a bench in Sheep Street with a friend in the early hours of the morning.

After Crawford approached them, allegedly asking for the time, they went outside club to take cocaine after the girl had asked for drugs.
It was here Crawford sexually touched the girl.
He is now due to be sentenced at the same court on October 16.
