A phone has been stolen after it had been arranged online for it to be sold.

After agreeing to the sale of a purple Apple iPhone 14 over Facebook marketplace, two people met at St Mary’s in Wantage on Monday, July 29 at around 5.30pm.

However, when the person came to collect the phone they ran off without paying for it.

Thames Valley Police have since released a picture of an individual officers would like to speak to following the incident.

Investigating officer DC Lee Dix, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man in this image to please come forward as we believe he may have information about the incident.

“If you witnessed or have images or footage of this incident, please call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240361844.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
