JAMES TAGGART, 25, of The Avenue, Bloxham, pleaded guilty to three counts of drug driving on January 19 this year, two counts of being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of drugs, driving without a valid test certificate, and driving without third-party insurance. He was given a community order to complete six months of mental health treatment and 10 days of rehabilitation activity. He was ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for 28 months. There were court costs of £85.

SIMON DANIELS, 24, of Littleworth, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Headington on January 17 this year. He was given a conditional discharge of nine months and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

STEVEN NEWELL, 32, of Rayson Lane, Witney, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving in Witney on January 6 this year, failing to stop a vehicle on Mill Street when required to do so by a constable, driving without third party insurance, and possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis. He was given a community order to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment with Turning Point and 15 days of rehabilitation activity. He was also ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

ASHLEY BEECHEY, 31, of Thames View Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Littlemore, Oxford on June 17 this year. He also pleaded guilty to 11 counts of theft between May 3 and June 17 in Oxford. He was given a community order to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and was excluded from entering Sainsbury’s in Heyford Hill, Oxford and Waterstones, Broad Street Oxford for 12 months. There were no orders for costs.

CLIFTON WEEDON, 65, of Orchard Way, Banbury, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knuckle duster, in Broad Street, Banbury on June 25 this year. He was given a community order to complete six months of electronic monitoring and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knuckle duster. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

GORDY NJATHE, 26, of Aldebarton Drive, Headington, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Oxford on July 6 this year with 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for three months and fined £350. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £140.
