George Clooney is producing a new series starring Michael Fassbender at the University of Oxford.
Mansfield Road in the city centre was closed earlier this week to allow for the shooting of an upcoming film which is being filmed in the city.
Parking was not allowed as the road was cordoned off by various traffic cones on Monday evening with no spaces left.
One local, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Oxford Mail: “No parking is allowed due to a Hollywood movie being shot this week but the security at the site wouldn’t tell me what it was.”

Then other residents suggested that the filming was taking place at Magdalen College at the University of Oxford and that Guy Ritchie could be producing the movie.
The location was correct but it transpires that the producer is actually Hollywood megastar and former Batman George Clooney.
Starring Michael Fassbender of X-Men and Inglorious Basterds fame, the film is called The Department and is based on the hit French show Le Bureau des Légendes.
An anonymous source told the Oxford Mail: “The filming that happened at Magdalen College and Earth Sciences department last week was The Department’ for Paramount+.
“This is starring Michael Fassbinder and exec produced by George Clooney.”

When the show was first confirmed, Chris McCarthy, president of CEO Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, said: “Joe Wright is a visionary director with a gift of focusing on intricate details to craft immersive and visually striking stories.
“And Jez and John-Henry are masterful writers whose witty and emotionally charged language dives deep into their characters’ moral complexities, while simultaneously creating a propulsive narrative.
“Bringing these powerhouse creatives together alongside George Clooney and Grant Heslov is sure to give The Bureau the reinvention it deserves.”
