A BAFTA award-winning writer and producer turned poet will be joined by a comedian for a show in Banbury this autumn.
Henry Normal and Nigel Planer are set to perform at Mills Arts Centre on October 30 as part of their national tour.
The duo first toured together in the early 90s and reunited in 2023 when they teamed up for their latest spoken word shows to create an evening of poetry and comedy.
This autumn’s tour marks their first full national tour together, intending to bring their unique blend of poetry and entertainment to wider audiences.
With a career spanning over four decades, Mr Normal has written and produced a host of renowned TV programmes and films.
He has toured with his ever-evolving poetry show constantly since retiring from TV and film production.
He has also had 15 poetry books published, including his most recent collection, 'A Moonless Night'.
Mr Planer, an actor, writer and musician, is best know for his roles as Neil in the BBC 1980s comedy 'The Young Ones' and as Ralph Filthy in 'Filthy Rich & Catflap'.
His poetry has been published in the Guardian and in numerous anthologies, as well as the 1997 collection Unlike the Buddha.
He has collected his many years of poetic endeavours into one volume called 'Making Other Plans'.
