Bicester residents have the chance to name a new property development in the town.

Construction of the 38 one and two-bedroom retirement apartment in the town centre is in progress, with residents expected to move in next summer.

A competition has been launched in a bid to find a name for the development, and those who enter the competition will be in with a chance of winning £100.

Applicants must submit their name suggestion to caroline.haswell@crl.co.uk by August 31.

If more than one person suggests the winning name, the winner will be randomly selected. The chosen name is subject to approval by the local authority.

Caroline Haswell, regional marketing manager for Churchill Retirement Living South West, said: "We’re delighted to be announcing our naming competition for our new development in Bicester and can’t wait to hear the winning choice.

"The whole team here at Churchill South West are excited to see development grow in such a perfect location filled with lots of amenities for retirees to enjoy, and we can’t wait to welcome new owners next year."

The apartments are situated on St John’s Street, surrounded by shops and are within easy reach of Bicester Village shopping centre.

The shopping centre offers more than 160 boutiques offering fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and homeware items, as well as various dining options.
