Firefighters raced to a football pitch in a town.
The fire broke out today (Monday, August 2024) at around 3.15pm as Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the old football field on Evans Way in Chipping Norton.
This followed reports of a fire in the wooded area along the field.
Thames Valley Police published an appeal asking for witnesses to come forward with any further information relating to the blaze.
