An animal lover at a Thame care home has seen her dream of having her own pets again come true.
Jennifer Evans has had many pets, her most recent being a dog named Toby, who lives with a friend but regularly visits her at Cuttlebrook Hall.
But when staff at the home learned of the 84-year-old's love for animals, they decided to welcome two rabbits to the home.
Ms Evans said: "I loved going to pick up Billy and Bobby from the pet store.
"Out of all the animals, they looked so kind and friendly and I knew I would love taking care of them.
"I enjoy going to see them every morning to help feed them. I love sitting in the garden seeing them hop about having a happy and fulfilling life."
The two rabbits have a hutch and a rabbit run in the home’s gardens.
Home manager, Alana Corr, said: "Jenny always looks forward to visits from Toby, so when she expressed her desire for pets at Cuttlebrook Hall we were eager to make it happen.
"Animals have a huge impact on our physical and mental health, and it’s been wonderful to see how happy the new additions have made Jenny and her fellow residents.
"Jenny is an amazing pet mum and it’s been fantastic watching her show the other residents how to care for the rabbits."
