An electric vehicle charging hub in Oxford has supplied almost 10 million miles since it opened two years ago.
Energy Superhub Oxford at Redbridge Park and Ride has charged 89,194 vehicles, approximately 122 each day, since its launch in July 2022.
It has also charged 9,747,744 electric vehicle miles in this time.
In collaboration with EDF Renewables UK, Habitat Energy, Invinity Energy Systems, Kensa, and the University of Oxford, the site has provided more than 2.75 million kWh of electricity, and saved 2,339 tonnes of carbon.
It is the UK's only charging hub directly connected to the National Grid's high-voltage transmission network.
This prevents strain on the electricity network and negates the need for expensive upgrades while allowing hundreds of electric vehicles to be charged at the same time.
