A singer songwriter from Chipping Norton is set to release his eighth album and a new single.

Mark Harrison is releasing 'Them and Us' on August 23, followed by his album 'Fools & Clowns' on August 30.

A UK Blues Award nominee for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, the Mark Harrison Band produces songs which incorporate elements of classic roots, rock, folk and blues.

He has toured with his band and appeared at festivals including Celtic Connections, Bearded Theory, Lakefest and Jazz FM Love Supreme.

Speaking about his new single, he said: "The modern workplace can be very difficult for the people who do real jobs.

"They are often at the mercy of the highly paid battalions of managers who make their jobs way harder.

"This song is from the point of view of those people suffering at the hands of these people, and trying to do the best they can despite them."

He has received praise from a number of people in the industry, including Paul Jones, from BBC Radio 2, who said Mr Harrison "takes very real things that happen in life and makes you think afresh about them".

Folk Words said he is "fresh as morning sunshine and as sharp as a well-honed razor", while Cerys Matthews described his music as "a bit different and kinda groovy too".
