AN arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of wounding with intent in Banbury.

Michael Bentley, of no fixed abode, was due in Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (August 8) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

The 32-year-old has been charged with five counts; assault by beating on July 4, wounding with intent, racially/aggravated common assault, using threatening words/behaviour, and racially/religiously aggravated harassment.

All counts reportedly took place in Banbury on July 4 this year against two different complainants.

However, as Bentley failed to attend his hearing, a warrant not back for bail was issued for his arrest.

It was heard he was supposed to be reported to Banbury Police Station on a frequent basis as well but it is unknown if he had.
