A YOUNG man has been caught downloading more than 100 indecent images, including of children as young as five-years-old.

Charlie Young, of Blenheim Close, Didcot, was due to be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (August 8) for three counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child.

The 20-year-old was caught with 48 Category A images, 64 Category B images, and 29 Category C images.

His iPhone was seized and a total of 141 images were found. They were inaccessible on his device.

Searches were also found on his device for ‘pre-teens’ as well as specific ages including five, seven and 10.

However, Young was unable to be sentenced as police have indicated further charges may be brought against the defendant.

It is alleged that he was ‘swapping and sharing’ images on Twitter/X and Telegram.

The prosecution asked that his sentencing is adjourned so that all the matters, if further are brought against Young, can be dealt with together.

It was heard that the defendant has provided police with the pin number to his phone, meaning the download should be quicker for police to deal with.

Judge Maria Lamb agreed to adjourn the case until October 4.

Young has been granted bail until this new date.
