NO evidence has officially been offered against a man who was accused of affray and assault.
Matias De Jesus, of Cleveland Drive, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (August 8) for a mention hearing.
He was accused of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a man in Oxford on July 24, 2022.

However, after reviewing the evidence, the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to offer any evidence against Mr De Jesus, stating there is ‘no longer sufficient evidence’.
Not guilty verdicts were officially entered and the 38-year-old was free to leave.
His co-defendant, Jorge Pereira-Xavier, 34, of Church Cowley Road, Oxford, is still due to take part in court proceedings for the offences.
