A PRE-INQUEST review has been scheduled after the death of three teenagers after police sent their investigation to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Passengers, Elliot Pullen, 17, Daniel Hancock, 18 and Ethan Goddard, 18 all died in the early hours of June 20 last year after a BMW crashed into a tree in Frilford Road in Marcham near Abingdon

The driver, named locally as Tom, was hospitalised with life-threatening injuries but was released just before Christmas.

Thames Valley Police confirmed in December that no arrests have been made and that an investigation continues.

However, a spokesperson for the force confirmed last month that the investigation has concluded and a file has been sent to the CPS.

The statement read: “On this one a file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service and we await a decision from them.”

Following the file being sent to the CPS, a pre-inquest review has now been scheduled to take place at Oxford Coroner’s Court on August 28 at 10am.

However, the review meeting will be heard out of court with senior coroner Darren Salter leading the hearing.

It is unknown how long the CPS will take to reach a decision and whether anyone will be charged.

The Oxford Mail has asked the CPS for a comment but has not yet had a reply.
