A Banbury shopping centre has closed part of its car park due to maintenance work.

The south car park at Castle Quay Shopping Centre located off Cherwell Drive has temporarily closed for painting work.

A spokesperson for the shopping centre confirmed that both the north car parks remain open.

Both the north car parks are located off Spiceball Park Road with Car Park One closest to the Waterfront while Car Park Two offers additional parking beneath Lidl with electric vehicle charging points and more accessible bays.

It is not clear when the south car park, which is the closest car park for the main shopping centre and Lock29, will reopen.

A notice outside the car park has apologised to shoppers for the closure.

It reads: “Car park maintenance in progress. Please use north one or north two car parks access to Castle Quay shopping centre and Premier Inn.

“Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you, Castle Quay.”
